Appeals Court Stands by Decision to Freeze Biden’s Vaccine Mandate
On Friday, a federal appeals court reaffirmed it’s decision to freeze the Biden administration’s vaccine mandate. The appeals court called the requirement for larger employers to make their employees get vaccinated against the virus ‘staggeringly overboard’. The 22 page opinion filed in the Fifth US Circuit Court of Appeals also calls the mandate by OSHA ‘fatally flawed’ and both ‘overinclusive’ and ‘underinclusive’. Last Saturday, the court temporarily blocked the OSHA rule that required employers with 100 or more employees to ensure their employees are fully vaccinated against the virus or undergo regular testing and wear face masks in the workplace. OSHA previously unveiled the mandate which was set to take effect on January 4th.
