Driver Hits 3 Parked Patrol Cars in Marion County

According to Marion County Sheriff Brian Wallace, three sheriff’s office patrol cars were hit yesterday morning outside the Marion County courthouse. Wallace said a vehicle was traveling down Main Street and hit one of the cars which caused a ‘chain effect.’ The cars sustained minor damage but they are driveable and will not be taken out of commission. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is still investigating and there is no word yet on whether charges will be filed.
