South Carolina DMV Returning to In-Car Road Tests
The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles will return to in-car road tests for non-commercial drivers licenses starting November 15th! Executive director Kevin Shwedo said “since we are seeing infection rates decrease and the immunization rates increase, we determined that it was the right time to shift back to regular road tests so we could better serve our customers.” The DMV will also go back to it’s pre-Covid schedule and allow walk-in customers to test in the mornings. All branches will accept walk-ins from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm everyday except for Wednesdays when walk-ins are accepted from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. Appointments for tests can also be set up online.
