Lawsuit Opened Against Alec Baldwin Following Fatal Filming Shooting

Following the fatal movie set shooting, Alec Baldwin and others involved with production of the movie ‘Rust’ are being sued by a crew member. Serge Svetnoy has filed a lawsuit against several key figures including Baldwin. The suit which was filed in LA accuses the actor, assistant director David Halls, armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed and other defendants of negligence that caused him ‘severe emotional distress’. Svetnoy was struck by ‘discharge materials’ from the fatal blast and was ‘narrowly missed’ by the bullet according to the lawsuit. The suit also accuses the film’s producers of breaching their duties by allowing real ammunition to be stored on set. The legal action comes after Baldwin fired a weapon during rehearsal last month that contained a live round and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza.
