Authorities Investigating Homicide in Dillon County

Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley has identified a man who was found shot in a wrecked vehicle on Sunday morning. According to Dillon County Sheriff Douglas Pernell, the man, James McLean was found on Oakland Road in the Hamer community after the car he was in crashed into a tree. Pernell said McLean’s death is being investigated as a homicide. There are no further details at this time.
