Queen Elizabeth Resting at Home Following Hospital Visit
According to Buckingham Palace, Queen Elizabeth spent Wednesday night at a hospital while undergoing ‘preliminary investigations.’ The 95 year old monarch entered the hospital on Wednesday and returned to Windsor Castle yesterday. The statement from the palace said “following medical advice to rest for a few days, the queen attended hospital on Wednesday afternoon for some preliminary investigations, returning to Windsor Castle at lunchtime today, and remains in good spirits.” A close source said the hospital stay was not initially announced because it was going to be short and was for practical reasons.
Earlier this week she canceled a trip to Northern Ireland where she had been scheduled to attend a church service in the city of Armagh with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. The queen is still expected to attend the COP26 climate conference in Glasgow Scotland later this month.
