CDC Releases Guidelines For Upcoming Holidays

The U.S. is seeing a reduced amount of new Coronavirus cases. According to data from Johns Hopkins University, the U.S. is averaging around 107,000 new infections daily which is down from over 150,000 last month. The rates of hospitalizations and deaths have also decreased. Dr. Anthony Fauci said “the way to keep it down, to make that turnaround continue to go down, is to … get people vaccinated.”

The CDC recently updated it’s guidance on holiday celebrations to urge people to get vaccinated and wear a mask indoors in public or areas of substantial transmission. The CDC guidance also recommends people delay travel until they are fully vaccinated.
