3 Hospitalized After Crash on Highway 501 in Aynor

3 people were taken to the hospital after a crash on Highway 501 near Aynor yesterday. The incident occurred near the post office located at 2945 Highway 501 East. Horry County Fire Rescue was dispatched to the 2 vehicle crash at 3:56 pm. All southbound and northbound lanes were shutdown for a short time as clean up crews and first responders worked the scene. According to reports, there was an entrapment in one of the vehicles and the other had caught fire before being extinguished. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
