Biden Addresses Immigration Crisis in Texas

The Department of Homeland Security has temporarily suspended the use of horse patrol in Del Rio after images from the scene promoted bipartisan criticism of the Biden administration’s handling of the crisis at the border. An investigation was launched after a video surfaced of border patrol agents on horses aggressively confronting migrants. Several top administration officials have expressed outrage over the images.

ADHS official said “we have ceased the use of the horse patrol in Del Rio temporarily. We’ll prioritize other methods for identifying individuals who might be in medical distress.” Vice President Kamala Harris expressed horror at the images during an event earlier this week and White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said that the White House was seeking more information on the videos.
