NFL Kickoff: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Beat Dallas Cowboys in Final Seconds

The 2021 NFL season kicked off last night with a game between the defending Superbowl champs Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Dallas Cowboys. Tom Brady who entered his 22nd NFL season threw for 379 yards and four touchdowns helping the Bucs win with a score of 31 to 29. Rob Gronkowksi caught two of Brady’s touchdowns while Antonio Brown and Chris Godwin caught the other two. The Cowboys took a one-point lead with just 1:22 left in the game but kicker Ryan Succop kicked a 36 yard goal in the final seconds of the game to secure the victory. In a post game interview, Brady said “fortunately, we found a way to win. I’m really happy Ryan and the field goal team made that really clutch kick at the end, that was great to see. Special teams were just awesome tonight. As a team, we all know that we’ve got to get back to work and try to improve.” The Cowboys will face the Los Angeles Chargers next week and the Bucs will host the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday the 19th.
