Once in a Lifetime Meteor Shower to Conclude by Tomorrow Morning

The Perseid Meteor Shower began at midnight last night and will be at it's peak until dawn tomorrow morning.

Stargazers listen up! According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, the Perseid Meteor Shower began at midnight last night and will be at it’s peak until dawn tomorrow morning. According to NASA, the moon will be setting early, so the sky will be especially dark which makes it the perfect time for viewing. NASA said that stargazers in the Northern Hemisphere will have a better chance of seeing the meteors compared to those in the Southern. In the Northern Hemisphere, up to 40 meteors will be available to view per hour from locations far from light while those in the Southern Hemisphere will only be able to see a few meteors per hour. For best viewing chances, experts say to give your eyes about 20 minutes to adjust to the sky and set aside at least an hour because meteors come in waves. These meteors come from the comet ‘Swift-Tuttle’ which takes 133 years to orbit the sun.
