Student Plays Like a Rockstar After Months of Lessons
Upon hearing Colin Flannigan's beats you may think he's been playing for years, yet has been playing only months. It all started with encouragement from a neighbor.
Each Wednesday we aim to bring you stories of all the good in the world and in our backyards. we get some of these from you, our viewers, and always welcome your stories. we begin with a local student, Colin Flannigan. Upon hearing his beats you may think, wow, this kid is a seasoned drummer. He has only been taking lessons for 10 months. It all began with watching his neighbor, Chris Freeman. He was inspired. Chris gave Colin some encouragement, and off he went! One act of kindness, one neighbor taking the time to share and invest in another. His family all saw his passion and continues to encourage and nurture. Greg personally know this young man and his parents George and Jaqlyn and brother Brady, as well as grandparents Steve and Kathy Peregoy. Don Hammerick of Don Hammerick’s Drum Center in North Myrtle Beach is his teacher and plays such a big part in Colin’s success.
