7 People Pronounced Dead After Shooting At A Birthday Party In Colorado
6 people were killed at a birthday party in Colorado Springs yesterday morning. The suspected shooter and boyfriend of one of the victims was also pronounced dead at the scene. Colorado Springs Police Officers received a call about a shooting just before 12:20 a.m. at the Canterbury Mobile Home Park where they found the 6 deceased victims and a 7th person who was injured and later died at a local hospital.
Police believe the suspect drove to the home and opened fire before killing himself. No children were injured in the shooting though they were present at the scene. Police are investigating a motive. The victims have not been identified as officers are working to notify their families. In a statement Governor Jared Polis said the shooting was ‘devastating, especially as many of us are spending the day celebrating the women in our lives who have made us the people we are today.’
