1 Person Is Dead And 4 Were Injured During A Shooting In Downtown San Diego
One person is dead and several others are injured following a shooting in downtown San Diego last night. According to San Diego Police Lieutenant Andra Brown officers were called to the 500 block of J Street in the Gaslamp District around 10:30 p.m. Officers took one person into custody and recovered a firearm. Investigators believe the suspect had an encounter with a man outside a hotel and shot him. After that shooting, the suspect walked north about a block, confronted a group of men and opened fire again. That’s where the other four victims were found. Three were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the fourth was released at the scene. Names of the victims have not been released and no other details are available at this time. A press conference is scheduled for later today.
