Getting away for a family vaca can add up. An article out by Money Crashers reports before the pandemic families were spending on average $4,000 on them.  But there was also a big return on the investment to get away.  Research shows vacations are not only good for us they’re also good for our kids from providing much-needed time to overworked parents to making kids smarter.  Parents and students are more productive upon returning. parents respond better to their children being under less stress. and vice versa. 77% of kids reported feeling no stress at all when parents made more time for family.  Even if a single day off.   When it comes to your kid’s IQ, the report says spending time together away from home gives them new social, physical, cognitive and sensory experiences.  Children who traveled over summer break with family scored higher in math, reading, and in general knowledge than kids who didn’t travel.
