Horry County Schools Plexiglass Installation Will Be Complete on March 31st
At the Horry County School Board meeting yesterday, it was announced that plexiglass installation in all schools will be complete on March 31st. According to staff, currently, 48 of the 55 schools have shields. Schools will hopefully be back to full in person face to face 5 days a week instruction by Spring break. Superintendent Rick Maxey said schools in HCS will continue to follow the recommendation to have the shields in place until DHEC says otherwise. The shields were funded through a $5 million allocation from the State Education Department in the form of CARES Act funding.
