Biden Administration Working on a $3 Trillion Infrastructure and Economic Package

The Biden Administration is working on a $3 trillion multi-part infrastructure and economic package. This could fulfill key elements of Biden’s campaign agenda. The first proposal would center around roads, bridges and other infrastructure projects and may include a number of climate change initiatives Biden outlined in the ‘Build Back Better’ plan he released during his campaign. That would be followed by measures focusing on education and other priorities including the child tax credit scheduled to expire at the end of the year and providing universal pre-k and tuition free community college. Democrats aren’t in agreement on how to move forward with the spending and tax proposals. Biden is expected to be briefed on the details this week and would need to sign off on the strategy for it to move forward. The White House declined to comment on the proposals under consideration.
