Myrtle Beach International Airport Looking to Expand by 2032

CORRECTION FROM YESTERDAY: The Myrtle Beach International Airport is looking to expand.  As part of a 20 year plan, MYR is working on a 20 year plan that would double the number of gates and hopefully keep up with the amount of passengers who travel through the airport. Some parts of the plan have yet to be determined but it has two proposals for expansion… both would more than double the amount of gates.  One calls for 23 gates and the other 25, currently there are 13. Both would also include building a new set on the east side of the airport. Other additions include parking lots, expanding international flights and space for a shipping distribution center. The plan will be submitted to the FAA for approval by the end of this year.
