Fauci Calls On Trump To Get More Americans Vaccinated

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the number of doses of the Covid-19 vaccine administered in the U.S. each day is rising, with more than 2.5 million daily shots last week. 1 in 5 Americans have received at least one dose and about 1 in 9 are fully vaccinated. During several interviews yesterday, Dr. Anthony Fauci said federal guidelines will be ‘much more liberal’ by the fourth of July as more Americans get vaccinated and also added that there will be a greater degree in confidence of returning to a degree of normal without masks and distancing by the holiday. He also added he hopes former President Trump will use his popularity to encourage more of ‘his followers’ to get vaccine. Trump has urged people to get vaccinated but hasn’t been among former presidents and public officials who’ve been vaccinated on camera to encourage others. Recently, it was revealed he was vaccinated in private at The White House before leaving office. Last week, the CDC also released new guidelines saying people who’ve gotten fully vaccinated can safely visit other vaccinated people and small groups of un-vaccinated people. While the agency is still urging un-vaccinated people to social distance from people who they don’t live with, wear masks and avoid crowds.
