Tiger Woods Won’t Face Charges in Car Accident that Crushed His Leg
Tiger Woods will not face any charges after what police have determined to be an accidental car crash. The 45-year-old golf legend was driving past a residential area shortly after 7 a.m. Tuesday when his SUV crossed a median, veered across two lanes, hit a curb, crashed into a tree and landed sideways on some brush. This is according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff who also confirmed “we don’t contemplate any charges whatsoever in this crash.” It appears Woods was driving at a higher speed than usual on a road that is known for accidents. It does not seem he was intoxicated or under the influence at the time. While he’s not facing any charges, Woods still has a long road to recovery ahead of him. His right leg was essentially crushed in the single-vehicle rollover and he received extensive emergency surgery. He is stabilized and awake now, but may require additional surgeries over the next few months. It will likely take him at least a year to make any sort of decent progress. The athlete has said he has no memory of the incident.
