Main Takeaway’s From Biden’s First Town Hall as President

Joe Biden attended his first town hall event as president last night and here were the key takeaways from the evening: The biggest topic of discussion was over vaccination efforts in the U.S. The president confirmed by July they will have purchased enough vaccines to inoculate the entire American population. While we may not see big changes immediately, the president suggested we could be back to almost normal by Christmas. Another commitment the president made was to get almost all elementary school students back to in-person learning by the end of his first 100 days in office. The Biden Administration hopes to achieve this by implementing a 5 key strategy plan that includes universal and correct wearing of masks, physical distancing, washing hands, cleaning facilities and improving ventilation, as well as utilizing contact tracing, isolation and quarantine. Also discussed during the town hall was the recent impeachment trial of President Trump. President Biden made it clear he was finished talking about the issue and wanted to put all his focus into the American people, instead.
