HCS Elementary Students Return to Full-Time, In-Person Learning
Horry County elementary students resumed full-time learning today. After 11 months of virtual or hybrid learning, students headed back for a full 5 day a week, in-person instruction. In order to keep everyone safe, large plexiglass barriers were installed between each and every desk. While it seems like good news, not everyone is on board. Some parents are concerned over how kids will be able to acclimate. Teachers are also still fighting for safer learning conditions until they are fully vaccinated. Governor McMaster has referred to their demands to be prioritized for the vaccine as “unethical, immoral, and absolutely unacceptable.”
