Jan. 12th Declared “Gore’s Day” in Honor of Fallen HCPD Officer

The town of Atlantic Beach is honoring one of their recently fallen officers. Horry County Police LCpl Melton “Fox” Gore was killed on January 12th after he was hit by a car while cleaning up debris along highway 22. During a meeting last night, the town council read a proclamation remembering gore and his life-long contributions to the force and surrounding community. The council also unanimously voted in favor of recognizing January 12th as gore’s day with an annual celebration in his honor.
