Criticism Rises Over Current National Covid-19 Vaccination Distribution Plan

As distribution and administration of the coronavirus vaccines broadens in the U.S., so does the criticism. Some healthcare workers and hospitals across the nation have referred to the rollout as an unfair and chaotic “free-for-all.” Medical professionals, especially those in the hard hit states, claim those who need the vaccine most are not being prioritized. This is by far their biggest concern, but there’s also unease over policing of the vaccine, issues with apps crashing, appointments reaching capacity in minutes, long waits, unclear guidelines, and more. President-elect Biden is also one of those people who’s become highly critical of the vaccination rollouts, claiming he has not seen a clear, organized plan from the Trump Administration. Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar strongly disagrees, insisting they have comprehensive procedures and are doing everything they can to carry them out. Despite this, Biden intends to release his own distribution plan sometime today.
