Homeless Shelter Quarantines After Positive Covid-19 Tests

Two homeless shelters in Myrtle Beach had to quarantine after multiple people have contracted Covid-19. New Directions has reported three positive tests between their men and women’s shelters since last month. In December, one man tested positive. He and ten others were temporarily quarantined in hotels. Now two women who tested positive this week, along with two other close contacts, will do the same. Officials hope the women’s shelter will be fully disinfected by Friday. For the time being, New Directions has stopped taking new clients.
