Homes of Pelosi, McConnell Vandalized Over Direct Stimulus Payments

Vandalized

The homes of two Congressional members were vandalized over the weekend. Early Friday morning, a garage door at a San Francisco home belonging to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was covered in graffiti. The following day, a door at Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s Louisville home was also painted over. In both instances, the vandals demanded increased stimulus checks for millions of Americans. The San Francisco special investigations division is looking into Pelosi’s incident. Louisville Metro Police are also investigating McConnell’s case in what the Kentucky Republican has referred to as a “radical tantrum.” No suspects have been identified yet. This comes as the debate over increasing stimulus checks continues in Congress. Last week, they passed a bill that included $600 individual payments, however many Congressional leaders and Americans alike are looking for more. Despite President Trump’s support, a bill proposing $2,000 payments was recently blocked by McConnell who believes larger checks are not the solution to the current economic crisis.
