Residents of Pawleys Island Retirement Community Get Vaccinated
Residents of a retirement community in Pawleys Island were among the first on the list to receive the covid-19 vaccine in the state.
More than 250 residents and staff members of The Lakes at Litchfield received their first dose of the vaccine yesterday. According to DHEC’s website, 19 residents at The Lakes at Litchfield have been diagnosed with covid-19 and 5 residents have died. A second clinic will be held on January 25th to give out additional first doses of the shot and second doses to those who’ve already received the first one. A third clinic will be held at a later date. The Lakes at Litchfield has over 200 residents and 200 staff members and plans to have them all receive the vaccine.
