Christmas tree lots in South Carolina are reportedly experiencing shortages. Booth’s Christmas Tree Farm in Conway was initially worried the pandemic would have a negative impact on sales, however it appears to have had the exact opposite effect. Their concern now is that business is busier than usual and they can’t order more to offset the surge. This is because the trees they’re buying were mostly planted during the 2008 recession or sometime after. Arborists could only plant a limited number of trees in those years due to the nation’s financial issues.
