President Trump Upset With Attorney General Barr, Considered Firing Him
President Trump is reportedly extremely upset with Attorney General William Barr. Earlier this week, Barr announced the Departments of Justice and Homeland Security have not found any major evidence of widespread voter fraud that would’ve led to a different outcome in the 2020 election, but they continue to investigate, nonetheless. Barr is a Trump appointed figure who had previously agreed that mail-in voting this year could be more susceptible to interference. This was despite there being no historical evidence to support the claims. Following Barr’s announcement, he visited President Trump at the White House. Sources close to the president say he’s extremely displeased with Barr for going against him. The possibility of Barr being fired is also being floated around, although no decision has been made yet. President Trump further issued a national statement last night via Twitter in the form of a 46-minute video. In it, he offered a lot of criticisms and doubled down on his claims of fraud. He also promised to keep fighting the results.
