U.S. Reports Worst Single-Day Rise in Cases, Hospitalizations, and Deaths
Yesterday marked the worst day the U.S. has ever seen since the pandemic began. To start, the nation reported its worst single-day death toll ever seen with at least 2,700 deaths. Yesterday also saw the national single-day infections surpass 205,000, a record-breaking figure that comes just a month after the U.S. first reported over 100,000 cases. Hospitalizations also hit yet another high after over 100,000 people were admitted for Covid-19 health issues. Just hours after all this, the national case count officially surpassed 14 million. Fortunately, hope for a vaccine grows closer everyday. As we wait for two to be approved for emergency use by the FDA, former presidents Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush have all volunteered to take the new vaccine live on television to promote confidence in both its effectiveness and safety. The Department of Defense has also recently released the first images of a Covid-19 vaccination record card and vaccination kits. Wallet-sized cards will be issued to everyone after their first shot that will have the date of when their next dose is due.
