Biden to Name Cabinet Picks as Swing States Prepare to Certify Election Results

As President-elect Joe Biden prepares to name his Cabinet, President Trump continues his election legal blitz. Yesterday, incoming White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain confirmed Biden will announce some of his Cabinet picks as early as tomorrow, with more to be named next week. The only thing that’s certain is Biden’s desire to have a team who “looks like America” with a diverse range of backgrounds, views, and people. Meanwhile, President Trump continues to pursue legal actions as swing states certify their election results this week. Georgia, who certified their results Friday following a manual recount, is now performing another machine recount at the Trump Campaign’s request. Michigan is expected to certify results today with Biden leading by more than 154,000 votes. In Pennsylvania, the president’s attempts to block their certification and throw out millions of ballots was dismissed by a judge. Arizona and Wisconsin intend to certify their results early next week after several more lawsuits were thrown out over the weekend. It’s unlikely that the president’s efforts will reverse Biden’s victory.
