Armed Robbery Suspect Escapes Handcuffs and Patrol Car in Georgetown County

An armed robbery suspect escaped police custody after stealing a police patrol vehicle early this morning. 38-year-old Samuel Robinson was wanted in connection to an incident at a Walmart over the weekend. He was apprehended during a traffic stop by the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office. However, while he was sitting in the back seat of a deputy’s car, he slipped out of his handcuffs and climbed to the front seat before driving off. The deputy’s vehicle and everything inside was recovered, but Robinson remains at large. Anyone with information in the case is asked to call the Georgetown county sheriff’s office at (843) 546-5102.
