Biden, Trump Administrations Continue to Clash Over Peaceful Transition of Power

It appears President-elect Biden is starting to fight back as President Trump still refuses to concede. Biden continues to formulate plans in order to transition his administration into the White House. First on his agenda is to enact four executive orders that would roll back some of President Trump’s actions. This includes rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement, reinstating the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, rejoining the World Health Organization and repealing the president’s travel ban targeting majority Muslim nations. However, President-elect Biden continues to come against road blocks by the Trump Administration. Most importantly, they refuse to sign official transition of power papers. This would allow President-elect Biden access to current government officials, classified information, and even federal funds which he needs in order to begin his transition. The Trump Administration instead continues their legal blitz in several states, demanding recounts and making baseless claims about voter fraud. While they have a right to contest the results, it’s reportedly getting to a point where the Biden team is considering legal action against them if they continue to refuse to cooperate.
