Twitter Repeatedly Flags President Trump’s Tweets Amid Election Uncertainity

It appears President Trump and Twitter are once again at odds as the outcome of the election remains uncertain. The president has received a ton of heat for prematurely declaring victory election night when most votes still had yet to be tallied. Since then, the president has not been seen in public, but his social media has been as active as ever. He prematurely “claimed victory” in the states of Pennsylvania, Georgia, and North Carolina, all of which are too close to call and still have votes to count. And his tweets alleging Democrats are trying to steal the election have been repeatedly flagged as misleading or false. Democratic lawmakers are now urging twitter to suspend the president’s account until all ballots have been accounted for. They claim his aggressive rhetoric and misinformation could incite violence and is a threat to democracy. While Twitter has removed or put warnings on the president’s tweets, they have never suspended his account. It’s unclear if they will choose to do so now.
