South Carolina Absentee In-Person Voting Ends Today

Absentee in-person voting ends in South Carolina today but the official count still can’t start until tomorrow. However, the Horry County Voters Registration and Elections Office already began opening the outside envelopes of mail-in ballots and checking for the witness signatures over the weekend. It’s meant to allow for more time to count the “extraordinary number” of absentee ballots received so far. Over a million have been cast statewide and according to early stats, African American voters have been leading the charge.
