U.S. Braces Itself in Preparation for Election Day Tomorrow
We’ve finally made it to the eve before Election Day and here’s what you need to know: In their last ditch efforts to sway voters, the presidential candidates will be barnstorming those battleground states most likely to determine the election. President Trump is holding rallies in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin today. Meanwhile, former Vice President Joe Biden is expected to hit all parts of Pennsylvania, with a special performance in Pittsburgh by Lady Gaga. So far more than 91 million people have early voted and those results may take days to count, especially in some of those more pivotal states. Tomorrow night could see a clear victor, or none at all. In anticipation for any outcome, federal authorities will put up a non-scalable fence around the perimeter of the White House. It’s the same fence that was installed over the summer to keep protesters out. The city of Washington D.C. is also preparing for potential unrest, with stores and other buildings boarding up their windows and doors over the weekend. D.C. Metro Police have reportedly been preparing for this evening for over a year now. Similar scenes have also been witnessed across the U.S., including in New York City.
