SC DHEC Recommendations for Celebrating Halloween Safely This Year
The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control has released tips for celebrating Halloween safely this year. DHEC officials said “Covid-19 continues to have a high prevalence across our state, and many traditional Halloween activities unfortunately are high-risk.” They’re instead making recommendations for outdoor, no-contact events this year which includes drive-throughs, one-directional haunted trails, and outdoor pumpkin patches. They’re also promoting creative methods for handing out candy while maintaining social distancing. And, as always, they ask you to wear a mask…and not the scary kind.
