South Carolina Reporting Unprecedented Early Voter Turnouts
The country is seeing record-breaking voter turnouts and South Carolina is no different. Early voting began days ago and already more than half a million residents have cast their ballots. This surpasses the states previous record for advanced voting which was set during the last presidential election. Horry County has collected over 50,700 absentee ballots compared to almost 19,500 in 2016. Similarly, Florence County has reported unprecedented early turnout with around 1,000 people voting a day. State election officials are also predicting over a million absentee ballots will be received for November 3rd.
