Shooting at Florida Amazon Facility Leaves One Dead, One Injured

The state of Florida also witnessed a deadly shooting at an Amazon facility yesterday evening. Jacksonville authorities were called to the scene of an Amazon fulfillment center around 7:30 p.m. where they found a male and female suffering from gunshot wounds. The female died on scene but the male was transported to a hospital. Their identities and the male’s condition are not currently known. A weapon was also recovered from the scene which is considered no longer active. While it’s still early, investigators believe the two may have been employees involved in a romantic relationship. Interviews are currently being conducted with the multiple witnesses. An Amazon spokesperson released an official statement saying “This is a terrible tragedy. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families, and all those who have been impacted by this incident,” adding they’re working closely with authorities.
