Joe Biden Officially Wins Democratic Presidential Nomination

During the second night of the Democratic National Convention, former Vice President Joe Biden officially accepted his party’s nomination for president. His short acceptance speech followed a 17-person keynote speech and a virtual roll call vote from all 57 states and territories who chose to highlight their cultures and backgrounds in their short time. Doctor Jill Biden also delivered a poignant character testimonial for her husband, specifically highlighting the hardships and losses he’s faced, while inside an empty classroom. However, there were several moments from last night that failed make an impact. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s 90-second roll call speech fell flat after she formally nominated Senator Bernie Sanders, later explaining DNC organizers asked her to do so since he is still technically on the ballot. Former President Bill Clinton’s five minutes is also raising questions. Instead of spreading the night’s overall message of unity, he attacked President Trump. Some Democrats were also put off, saying he no longer necessarily represents the democratic party and it’s modern ideas. Tonight’s show will focus on Senator Kamala Harris and feature former President Obama.
