Fire at Ocean Lakes Campground Last Month Deemed Accidental

It’s been concluded that the fire at Ocean Lakes Campground was not arson. The incident, which occurred on July 31st, damaged 12 homes, with three to four completely destroyed. 10 cars and six golf carts were also damaged and 45 people displaced. While no staff, residents or guests were injured, two firefighters were hospitalized with minor injuries. The fire may have been accidental, but officials still have not determined the exact cause.
