Charlotte Man Charged After Toddler Accidentally Shoots, Kills Himself

A Charlotte man has been arrested after his 2-year-old son accidentally shot and killed himself.  It’s reported the incident occurred Saturday shortly after 10 p.m. It’s believed the minor, Amor Cureton, gained access to his father’s unsecured firearm and accidentally discharged it, injuring himself. The boy was still alive when police arrived, however he later passed away at the hospital. 24-year-old Antonio Cureton now faces charges of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a stolen firearm and failure to secure a firearm to protect a minor.
