Hurricane Isaias Causes Thousands to Temporarily Lose Power

Thousands of people across the Grand Strand and Pee Dee areas are also without power as a result of the storm. Santee Cooper reported almost 7,000 customers lost power, with about 1,800 of those outages in the North Myrtle Beach area. Horry Electric also confirmed over 2,200 lost power last night. About 1,550 of those outages were in the Socastee area. As of early this morning, all but about 160 customers had their power restored. Duke Energy also confirmed they had at least 190 customers impacted by the storm.
