NC Governor Announces Statewide Curfew on Sale of Alcohol
Yesterday, North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper announced a statewide curfew on the sale of alcohol. This is in direct response to the growing number of COVID-19 cases the state is currently experiencing. Similar to the ban that has been placed here in South Carolina, all restaurants must stop selling alcoholic drinks after 11 p.m. until 7 a.m. while bars remain closed. The new curfew will go into effect this Friday at 11 p.m. and last through August 31st. The order does not apply to grocery stores, convenience stores or other entities permitted to sell alcohol for off-premises consumption.
