Free Back-to-School Assistance Being Offered to Horry County Families in Need

And speaking of back to school plans, parents and guardians in need may be able to receive some free assistance in Horry County. Catholic Charities is hosting a drive-thru event called “A Day of Hope” on August 8th where you may be able to pick up free school supplies for your kid. This includes book bags filled with school supplies, new shoes, socks, and more. If you are interested in participating, the deadline to register and receive an appointment time to pick up said supplies is this Friday. You’ll need to provide information such as your income and expenses as well as your child’s grade and their school. If you do not need the assistance, but are still looking to get involved, they are still accepting donations.
