Masks Mandated for Students, Drivers on State-Owned School Buses
Students and drivers will be required to wear face coverings on all state-owned school buses. Daily cleaning procedures will be implemented on these buses as well. It’s believed the changes will increase capacity on school buses from 50% to 67%. South Carolina State Superintendent of Education Molly Spearman made the announcement yesterday where she also confirmed the approval of six school district reopening plans which were submitted to the South Carolina Department of Education. Spearman said, “the plans approved today offer parents high quality, innovative face to face and virtual options while keeping student and staff safety as their top priority.”
