SC Officials Consider Expanding Absentee Voting for November Election
Absentee voting may be more widely available in South Carolina again as the November 2020 election approaches. Normally, absentee voting is reserved for people who meet certain qualifications, however due to the coronavirus the majority of residents across the state were allowed to vote absentee in the June primary. Now, state officials are considering expanding absentee voting again for this November. The Horry County Elections Office is already looking into ways they can anticipate the potential increased volume of absentee ballots. This includes the possibility of adding three more polling locations.
