Masks Will Be Required on Local School Buses This Fall
The South Carolina department of education announced yesterday that students will be required to wear masks on school buses when the new school year begins. Along with that, the department also said that buses will be loaded from back to front and roof vents as well as windows will be opened for ventilation. There will also be a maximum of 50% capacity on board in some areas. It’s also recommended that children practice social distancing at bus stops, during loading, transport and while unloading. Hand sanitizer will be provided for students and drivers and high touch areas will be cleaned and disinfected at least once a day.
