Walmart to Close on Thanksgiving This Year

The world’s largest retailer is already looking ahead to the holidays. Walmart says its stores nationwide will be closed on thanksgiving day this year! This will be the first time in more than 30 years as the company has kept its stores open on the holiday since the late 19-80’s. The company’s president and CEO said the decision was made so employees can spend the day with their families. It was also announced that Walmart will spend about $428 million on special bonuses for its full-time and part-time workers for working through the coronavirus pandemic.
