Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Vehicle in Longs Early This Morning

A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in Longs early this morning. Master Trooper Brian Lee of the South Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed the incident occurred on Strawberry Road near SC 90. Emergency services responded to the initial call regarding the incident around 12:15 a.m. The suspect’s vehicle was traveling eastbound when it struck the pedestrian and its believed the driver was wearing a seat belt. The Horry County Police Department and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are currently investigating.
